Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by having your family decide on date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Renovated 1 BR Ocean View Suite~Caravelle 626 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
