Tricks and tips to get the optimal rental experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking the bestrental:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. River Oaks 1306 condo in resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
