Strategies to get the best rental home experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Sand and Sun Queen Efficiency 7th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
