Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose the perfectrental:
- Start by having your family decide on the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beach is Only Walk Away has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
