Rental home tips:
Finding the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- To book the largest rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose dates and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Tranquil Queen Efficiency 14th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your trip.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
