Tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Book your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Sand Dunes Resort 806 - Ocean View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your trip.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
