Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Sand Dunes Resort North Tower,Amazing Views,Pools! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
