Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Lodge Villa 2 Bedroom at a 57-Acre Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
