Tips to get the best rental experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. SeaGlass Tower™ - 1 Bedroom Deluxe - Ocean Front has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
