How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking your prefectrental home:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. SeaGlass Tower - 1 bedroom Standard - Limited View has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
