Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
How to select the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Seahorse: 3BR Oceanfront Condo with Pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
