Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental home:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your group choose trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Seaside Delight 15thFlr 3BR Angle Ocean View Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Advice for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
