Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach Villas 305B - 4 Bedroom Condo has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
