How to book the best rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Cozy- 2bdrm and kids loft bedroom w\/ Golf Cart has 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
