How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the best rental home:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Cozy- 2bdrm and kids loft bedroom w\/ Golf Cart has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
