How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Finding the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your family commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Cozy- 2bdrm and kids loft bedroom w\/ Golf Cart has 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
