Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the best vacation home:
- First, have your group choose dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Panoramic Perch 16th Floor Spacious 3 Bedroom has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
