Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. A446 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Serene Surfside Escape has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
