How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Brigadune 3 BR \"MOST BOOKED CONDO \" has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is best for your family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
