Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and pick yourrental:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Shoreline Oceanfront Three Bedroom Condo 6th Flr has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
