How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. SJ3 Cozy efficiency+pool. Across from the beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
