How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting and booking your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Skip a sunrise. Sleep in on vacation! Sun all Day has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is right for your family.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
