How to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Coastal Comfort Queen Efficiency 4th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.

More considerations:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
