Our top Vacation rental booking tips:
When to go & When to book:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Spacious.. & Ready for Summer Fun!!Sat-Sat summer booking only has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
