How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Wake Up to Ocean Views in this 4BR, 4BA Myrtle Beach Condo – Sleeps 10 has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
