Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Blissful Oceanfront 3BR Condo 10th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
