Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Spectacular Ocean View Condo 1bd\/1ba Myrtle Beach, Oceanfront Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
