Finding the best vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanview 1Br Suite Dogs Welcome! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
