Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking the bestrental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Sunrises and sandy beach. Cozy oceanfront king suite end unit. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
