Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • To start, have your family agree to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Spotless 2 Bedroom\/2 Bathroom FURNISHED Condo - FREE CLEANING! NO CLEANING FEES! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
