How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- First, have your group decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Steps to the beach daily rentals pool washer dryer onsite two balconies full kitchen has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
