Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Book your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select your dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Stunning Angle Oceanfront Suite + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Have a fantastic stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
