Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Newly Renovated Double Balcony 2 Bedroom Condo! With LED Fireplace- Anderson Ocean Club 905 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
