Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Pelican's Watch Unit 304 - Oceanfront has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
