Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beach Bum Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo 7th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
