How to book the best rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting and booking a perfectvacation home:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Bluewater Resort Unit 203 - Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
