How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Bluewater Resort Unit 203 - Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If not, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
