Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick the bestvacation home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Suite w\/ Double Beds and Side View of Ocean + Pool Onsite has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
