How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Sunny Getaway * 1BR condo close to the beach (E) has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your invoice.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
