Strategies for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
Get the best value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local tours and attractions.
How to choose the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Sunny Getaway * 1BR condo close to the beach (E) has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
