How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront Paradise! Luxuriously Furnished Suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
