Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.

- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
