Booking the best vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Myrtle Beach getaway nestled just a block away from the beach has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Have a great stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
