Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean Front Relaxation At It's Best At the Bordwalk Resort. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
