Tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. SALE! JUNE&JULY RESERVATIONS RECEIVE A 20% DISCOUNT \n3BR\/3BA Amazing Ocean Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
