Our top Rental property booking tips:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Amazing Ocean front Steps from Beach!\n2025 Spring & Summer dates now available\n\n has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
