Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- To book the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- First, have your family decide on the best dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Backyard Oasis Golf Cart 2 Beach (By Beach Star) has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
Advice for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
