Vacation rental home tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose and book your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. SLEEP 19 - 300ft From The Beach, Pool, Elevator - TUSCAN B has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is best for your trip.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
