How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Close to beach, Pet friendly, Golf cart has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
