Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Ultimate Myrtle Beach Condo location in Prestigous Maisons-sur-Mer. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your group.
- Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
