Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Walking Distance to the Beach & Boardwalk has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
