Getting the best vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
