Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on date ranges and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Updated One Bedroom Condo- Boardwalk Resort Unit 837 - Direct Oceanfront! Sleeps 8! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
