Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To find the best rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Vibrant 4 BR Home Close to Beach has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your invoice.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
