Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- First and foremost, have your family commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. OCEAN LAKES G6 \nINTERIOR REMODEL IN 2023! OCEAN VIEWS AND STEPS FROM THE BEACH. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
